Winter on the Moors

Almost entirely created in tiny French knots, this landscape was inspired by a drive across Dartmoor in December. I expected it to be depressing but quite the opposite, I was intrigued by all the brown dead bushy material on the flat mottled green. In this piece, I switched some of the brown for winter heathers and mixed them with little ponds/lakes to break up the texture and colours.

Piece is 7-inches in size – the high price is due to how long it took to create, most the piece is done in small knots and took many hours and skeins of thread.

This piece can be paid for in instalments at any rate that suits you – if you’d like to do this, buy it with bank transfer selected as this doesn’t require a payment up front, then message me to sort out a plan.
